Hey there Friend,
Anxiety, huh? It’s the worst.
Let’s rewind a bit… Allow me to introduce you to Zoe, one of my earliest clients. Buckle up, because this story’s a ride.
Zoe was going through it. School was a battlefield. Mornings? Cue the yelling and tears. Some days, she couldn’t even drag herself to school, too exhausted and anxious to face it. Her mom was at her wit’s end, unsure of the best approach. Should she play hardball and force Zoe to go, or take a softer stance and figure things out together?
This had been Zoe’s reality for months. She was on the waitlist for CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services), but her case wasn’t “serious enough,” so she faced a six-month wait. 
Zoe’s mom tried every suggestion in the book: 
finding a trusted adult at school (but sometimes Zoe couldn’t even get inside), 
talking to friends about her feelings (but Zoe didn’t understand why she felt this way and didn’t want to burden her friends), 
positive self-talk, relaxation exercises… you name it. 
But nothing stuck. Instead, things went from bad to worse. Zoe became a recluse over the school holidays, avoiding friends and struggling even to walk the dog. Her grades plummeted, and with exams looming, it was crunch time.
That’s when Zoe’s mom reached out to me, laying it all out.
I knew we needed a different approach. 
While traditional advice had its place, Zoe needed something tailored to her. That’s when inspiration struck. I remembered a technique I’d used successfully with other clients, tackling unhelpful thinking patterns head-on. I’d applied it in various scenarios, from job interviews to overcoming fears like public speaking—even me giving up chocolate (yeah, it’s been a decade!). 
But Anxiety? That was new territory.
But why not give it a shot? We had nothing to lose.
So, I fine-tuned the process, making it more kid-friendly, and dove in.
Our first call was a revelation. I broke down anxiety for Zoe in a way that finally made sense. And guess what? It clicked. She felt this immense relief, realising she wasn’t broken—just dealing with a common issue. She went from feeling stuck to hopeful in a heartbeat.
Our second call was where the real magic happened. We rewired her thought patterns in a way she never had before. Zoe was ecstatic—she couldn’t quite put it into words, but everything just fell into place.
Days later, Zoe’s mom shared the news: Zoe breezed through a week of school without a hitch. No breakdowns. 
Later, she aced her exams and even went on a holiday with friends, carefree for the first time in ages.
Seeing this transformation, I knew I had to share this technique beyond my private clients. So, I tweaked it, packaged it up, and here we are.
