It’s Mother’s Day here in the UK.

I’m Home Alone.

And to be honest I am ok with that.

Why?

Because each of my family are away doing things they love – independently of one another (otherwise I’d be mad that they’d left me out!!)

Being a Mum – isn’t about expecting breakfast in bed on Mother’s Day (though I’ve had my fair share of that throughout the year already!)

Being a Mum isn’t about “put your feet up – we’re in charge today” … I’m at my kitchen table writing an Anxiety Masterclass – with only the cats for company.
(Creating is my a happy place)

Being a Mum isn’t about chocolates, flowers and lavender baths … though the kitchen looks like Kew Gardens at the minute (thanks guys xx)

Being a Mum is sifting through your photos to make this collage and remembering all the happy times (and the challenging times).
Knowing that you have done your best – and that now your kids are independent enough to fly.

Being a Mum is the little things as well as the big things.

Pictures and memes saying “We miss you” and “We love you”.

That’s what being a mum is about.

My heart is full.

I hope today is a good day for you x
