The date has changed – but in many respects, we are still stuck with the same rubbish from 2020.

What can we look forward to? How can we plan for a brighter future?

2020 has taught me many things – both as a parent and an individual.

I am NOT running into 2021 with the “Up and At ‘em” approach. I am taking it slowly and seeing how this year is going to unravel.

I share my top 15 lessons that I have learned from 2020.

  1. Be PRESENT
  2. Don’t PLAN too far ahead
  3. Embrace CHANGE
  4. It’s OK to make MISTAKES
  5. Be the LEADER your child needs
  6. You are not your child’s SLAVE
  7. Control your TEMPER
  8. Stop NAGGING
  9. Follow through with CONSEQUENCES
  10. Stop WORRYING too much about their behaviour
  11. Avoid PERFECTION
  12. Be STEADFAST in your approach to life
  13. Practice SELF-CARE
  14. TRUST that it will all be OK
  15. Be FLEXIBLE
