I am inhaling this book Dare to Lead by Brene Brown

But Brene, I have a question for you?

You mention the leaders :

“from corporations, non-profits, and public sector organisations to governments, activist groups, schools and faith communities…”

… you continue, saying that

“…we desperately need more leaders who are committed to courageous, wholehearted leadership who are self aware enough to lead from their hearts, rather than unevolved leaders who lead from hurt and fear…”

But what about parents?

The parents – who are boldly in the frontline every day – leading their own mini-organisations – their families.

Parents, who’s responsibility it is to build a new generation – often tell me how very alone and isolated they feel.

Parenting is a confusing place to be at the best of times – they don’t have the training budgets and the schedules to put time aside for leadership seminars.

Parents are often forgotten (clearly) so please you don’t disregard them as well.

You are a parent yourself. You know what the fight is like. It’s real sometimes.

Parents need more recognition (in my humble opinion) than the CEOs in the corporations and the non profits.

Parents are creating tomorrow’s leaders way before the corporations get a look in.

Parents are shaping this world’s future.

AND they need our support.
